The return of North Kiteboarding, previously run by Boards & More, came about after the North Technology Group announced an investment in the North Kiteboarding brand in 2020. Kite enthusiasts worldwide were skeptical - would it be possible to reintroduce a new premium brand to the market 20 years later? With the help of a handful of the most experienced and respected designers, the North Technology Group successfully created a full product range under the name North Kiteboarding. The product line, including kites such as the Orbit, Reach, Carve, and kiteboards like the Atmos, Astra, Focus, and Prime, has received a significant boost in recent years, making North one of the most successful brands to date.

North was established in 1957 when Olympic gold medalist and trained engineer Lowell North founded the brand. He aimed to revolutionize the sailing world, with North pioneering advanced computer modeling in the design and manufacturing processes. In 2019, the North Technology Group decided to invest in North Kiteboarding and merge with Mystic, giving rise to the current North Actionsports Group. North Actionsports Group is headquartered in the Netherlands and offers the highest quality kiteboard, windsurf, foil, wakeboard, and SUP products. North Kiteboarding succeeded in building a wide range of top-quality kitesurfing gear in a short period of time. In the first year, they introduced their most well-known kite, the North Orbit, along with the Puls and Carve. Later, they added the versatile North Reach to their lineup.
